Ohel is seeking a high energy and responsible individual to oversee our crisis enriched the bed respite program, providing acute short-term interventions and respite for individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis.
Responsibilities include:

Provide psycho-education, brief trauma focused counseling, short-term therapy, case management, linkages to services, advocacy, developing treatment and WRAP plans

Developing and implementing wellness techniques and family counseling

Clinical and acute crisis supervision of the respite-bed peer counselors

Monitor continued development, evaluation and implementation of crisis intervention and de-escalation to ensure the safety of clients and staff

Develops ongoing collaborative relationships by engaging connections in local mental health programs, clinics and community organizations
The appropriate candidate will have a graduate degree in health-related field along with NYS certification/licensure appropriate to the degree. Three years’ experience in a community based mental health program, at least one of which includes supervisory and administrative responsibilities is required. Must be familiar with EHR documentation processes and have excellent verbal and written skill. This full time position is based in Brooklyn with an on call requirement.
