What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Organizer position at Ohio Citizen Action?
Ohio Citizen Action is excited to expand our team with Field Organizers as we gear up for a critical election season. The Field Organizers primary role will be to engage with Ohioans through door-to-door canvassing (rain or shine!) We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about voting, ending gerrymandering in Ohio and ensuring a more sustainable and equitable future for our communities. You'll work closely with our team to deliver our and be an essential part of our efforts to shape the future of Ohio. This is a seasonal role with FT or PT hours, until November 2024. This role reports to the Regional Field Director.
Role Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with Ohioans through door-to-door canvassing, discussing key issues like ending gerrymandering, and promoting a sustainable and equitable future for our communities.
- Educate and inform community members about Ohio Citizen Action’s 2024 endorsements and encourage active participation in the upcoming elections.
- Empower communities by raising awareness and equipping them with the tools and knowledge to tackle critical issues together.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, campaign briefings, and events. Share ideas, contribute to discussions, and help shape our strategies.
- Accurately collect and report data from canvassing activities to help track campaign progress and impact.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
