What You’ll Do
- Assesses educational needs of incarcerated persons.
- Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individualized assignments and training.
- Provides instruction in fundamentals of electricity, using test equipment and residential, commercial, and industrial wiring and individual assistance.
- Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators.
- Maintains discipline and/or security and counsels students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems.
- Attends variety of meetings (e.g., in-service training, treatment team, student interviews).
- Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment figures, grades, student progress).
- Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed.
- Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials.
- Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
