Job Description
The role of this position involves delivering accurate, precise, and timely patient test results for the diagnosis and management of human illness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Handling blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids
- Dealing with potentially contaminated specimens, including those with infectious diseases such as HIV and other blood-borne pathogens
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A four-year Bachelor of Science degree
- Registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent certification from the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Superior customer service skills
- Experience working in an automated clinical laboratory
Work Environment
This role operates on a day shift with 32 scheduled weekly hours.
You will be part of our Core Lab department.
