What You’ll Contribute to OHM Advisors
As a Project Manager in the Environmental and Water Resources Group (EWRG), you will support a range of water resources projects in Tennessee. The EWRG is a diverse 40 person team looking for a talented project manager with a passion for water resources. EWRG works on a variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects including modeling of distribution and collection systems, asset management, stream restoration, green infrastructure, and a range of facility designs.
A successful candidate for the Water Resources Project Manager position is team-oriented, with strong analytical skills. The candidate takes initiative and is willing to stay current with software, regulations, and technology. This position is full-time with semi-flexible working arrangements available.
Your Responsibilities
- Client management and development
- Lead and delivery municipal water resource facilities planning and design projects
- Project manager on studies, reports, design, and/or construction of water distribution systems, sewage collection, storage facilities, control vaults, pumping stations, booster stations, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater systems, and green infrastructure.
- Bidding phase services and Construction administration and management for linear and facility projects.
- Effectively communicate project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, client, and public.
Train and mentor entry-level staff.
Program planning and management for water system replacement and SSES efforts.
Perform various water resources-related calculations and analyses using a variety of software tools.
Understand funding programs at the state and federal levels (USDA RD, SRF, CDBG).
Understanding of GIS and able to apply to project/program workflows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field required.
- The ideal candidate will have at least four years of water resources-related experience State of Tennessee Professional Engineer license preferred.
- State of Ohio, Kentucky, and/or Michigan Professional Engineer license desirable but not required.
- Experience with water, stormwater, and wastewater infrastructure analysis, planning, and design.
- Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure design considerations
- Experience working with ArcGIS PRO, AutoCAD, Revit, Matlab, hydrologic, and hydraulic design programs, such as PC/EPA-SWMM, EPA-Net, Infowater, HEC-HMS, or HEC-RAS preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to solve challenging problems
- Self-directed and able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset and strong listening and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience
