Assistant Teacher
Brewster Early Head Start

About the position: To assist the teacher and cooperate in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition and education of the children and to attend to their safety and welfare. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and/or agency policies and procedures.
Education and Experience Required:
- General and Initial State Certificate or higher degree, OR DCYF equivalent education, or enrolled in ECE program as a provisional hire
- 1 year experience in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education, preferred
- Work experience and knowledge in curriculums and early childhood development, preferred.
- Bilingual/Spanish, preferred
Details:
- Full-time 40hrs per week
- 49 Weeks per Year
- Wage $19.60 per hour for qualified applicant
