What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Oklahoma Cancer and Blood Specialists?
Clinic position open in busy private oncology practice for an experienced, reliable, and energetic Medical Assistant with medical office experience. You will work closely with other office staff rooming patients and running an efficient clinic while working closely with the providers to give excellent medical care. Must be a self-starter, motivated and very organized with the ability to multi-task. This is a busy office with a small staff and the ability to work as a team is a must. We need someone with reliable transportation who can come to work every day, on time, drama-free and deliver the high-quality patient care that our patients are accustomed to receiving.
Responsible for:
- Working directly with providers for patient visits and follow-up care
- Scheduling scans / referrals / labs for patients and tracking results
- Prior authorizations
- Referrals
- Telephone triage
- EMR documentation
- Scanning / attaching documents in EMR
- Medication refills
- Medication injections
- Phlebotomy
- Rooming patients during clinic
- Ability to assess Vital signs, including manual Blood Pressure
- Appointment scheduling
- Restocking exam rooms
- Other duties as necessary for patient care.
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, WITH POSSIBLE ALTERNATING FRIDAYS.
No nights, weekends, holidays, or call.
