We are seeking a school Speech Language Pathologist to pick up an existing school caseload ASAP. Monday and Wednesday 9am-2:30pm (additional hours available in the outpatient clinic)
We provide speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and behavioral services. We have a position available at each of our locations (Yukon, El Reno and North Oklahoma City and area schools)
Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist Job Description:
This is an opportunity for a therapist who wants to work with clients in an school/outpatient setting with an amazing team! You will have the opportunity to work with the pediatric population and their families and will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of a range of neuro-developmental disorders. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS for the Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist
- Possesses a degree that includes an internship from an approved Master’s program in Speech–Language Pathology, or as required by applicable law and/or regulation
- Oklahoma State License: CCC-SLP
- Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech–Language Pathology, granted by the American Speech–Language–Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications for the Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working in pediatrics
- Experience working with clients with developmental disorders
Pediatric Speech Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities
- Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide speech therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family in our outpatient setting.
- Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
- Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan for parents.
- Prepare progress reports at six month intervals as well as annual reviews
- Maintains client records
- Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in therapy through specific goals, training sessions, and communication
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines.
PTO, Holiday Pay at Full Time (32-40 hours) plus bonus
