What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Supervisor position at Oklahoma State University?
Event origination/implementation/supervision of catering staff, and support and assist Catering Coordinator & Catering Supervisor as a part of team management. Other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time position that will not have scheduled hours during the month of June, July, and through mid-August, unless work is available. During that time the University will continue to pay your health benefit. You will be required to exhaust all of your annual leave during the time you are off. After all annual leave has been exhausted the department will put you on leave without pay status until your schedule resumes.
Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time and use proper ergonomics. This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.
This position includes exposure to environments that can be noisy, with hot and cold extremes in temperature.
Valid Driver's license required.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED
Two years of related food experience.
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License - before hire
Food Handler's Permit/Serve Safe Certification acquire - after hire
Ability to operate a computer and learn applicable software programs, excel, MCS.
Ability to effectively apply principles and methods consistent with accepted food preparation, purchasing, and personnel management practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant.
