What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Age Site Coordinator position at Old Colony YMCA?
Under the supervision of the School Age Director, the Site Coordinator is responsible for programming and supervision of the School Age licensed program. The Site Coordinator will plan and implement a program of activities which will ensure each child's personal safety while providing entertainment, physical challenges, and learning experiences.
Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Understand and ensure EEC regulations as well as Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy) are maintained at all times.
- Plan, develop, and implement the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and Old Colony YMCA'S policies.
- Gear the school age lesson plans to the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, disabilities, special talents, cultural diversity, and individual style and pace of learning.
SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL:
- Organize, facilitate and document regular meetings with staff to ensure work plans are being adhered to or modified as needed.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and all site coordinator's meetings.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, train, and evaluate school age staff and volunteers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Minimum Required):
- Minimum of 20 years of age
- Minimum of two years supervision/management experience
- Evidence of physical examination within the last 12 months
- Minimum of one year of school age experience
