As we expand, we are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. Key Responsibilities :
Assist in implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
Provide direct patient care in their homes, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, home safety, and injury prevention techniques.
Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Document patient progress and treatment interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards for home health care.
Qualifications :
Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Virginia.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a PTA, preferably in home health care.
Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, home health procedures, and patient care strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a healthcare team.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
