What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Management Coordinator position at Old Sturbridge Inc?
We are looking for a Talent Management Coordinator to join our team. They will be responsible for leading and coordinating organization-wide efforts to ensure performance management and quality improvement programs' development, implementation, and success. Data will drive these initiatives to align with strategic priorities, fostering an engaged, high-performing workforce.
This role also oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring top talent acquisition for Old Sturbridge Village, Coggeshall Farm Museum, Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School, and Worcester Cultural Academy Charter Public School, while designing and maintaining programs for employee retention, professional growth, and succession planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Management:
- Design and maintain performance management systems, including job descriptions, performance standards, and engagement tools (i.e. 30, 60, 90-day check in’s).
- Develop and implement a robust talent review process to build an internal pipeline of top talent aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze and utilize data to inform leadership development strategies, succession planning, and cultural initiatives.
- Collaborate on strategic planning efforts and lead the development of policies related to performance management and quality improvement
Recruitment:
- Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and build strong relationships across the hiring community.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all staffing needs, including full-time, part-time, temporary, contractual, and intern positions.
- Innovate sourcing strategies to attract a pipeline of qualified candidates, leveraging social media, job fairs, referrals, and networking.
Retention and Development:
- Create and implement effective retention, promotion, and succession planning programs.
- Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop training programs and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance workforce performance and address organizational priorities.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities.
- Expertise in recruiting strategies, performance management systems, and workforce development.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to design and execute full-cycle performance management and leadership development programs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 10 years of broad HR experience, including talent and performance management.
- Experience recruiting across multiple disciplines and levels (non-exempt, exempt, and leadership roles).
- Proven expertise in creating and implementing organization-wide talent management programs.
- Experience with data-driven decision-making, metrics analysis, and producing results-based reports.
- Familiarity with affirmative action planning and applicant tracking systems.
- Current HR certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
