Qualifications:
- Computer skills required
- Medical terminology preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Previous switchboard experience preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming calls in a professional, courteous manner and transfers calls appropriately.
- Assesses and prioritizes emergency telephone calls.
- Overhead pages clinicians, staff, and patients.
- Maintains and updates reference material.
- Utilizes TTY machine to communicate with hearing-impaired patients.
- Attends education.
- Other duties as assigned.
