We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping and Packaging Specialist to join our team and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our products to our valued clients.
Position Overview: As a Shipping and Packaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in our logistics and shipping operations. You will be responsible for carefully packing products and goods, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. Your attention to detail and commitment to delivering products in pristine condition will contribute to our outstanding reputation for quality and customer satisfaction.
Primary responsibilities:
- Pack products and goods for shipment according to established packaging standards to prevent damage during transit.
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packaging and address any issues.
- Ensure that all necessary shipping documents, labels, and packing materials are available and in order.
- Prepare products for shipping, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and methods.
- Monitor the number of shipments and maintain accurate records of outgoing orders.
- Verify order accuracy by comparing orders with customer data to prevent errors.
- Create shipping labels.
- Order USPS/UPS/FedEx shipping supplies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring product quality.
- Previous experience in shipping, packaging, or a related field is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Physical dexterity and the ability to lift and move packages of various sizes (be able to lift 30 lbs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Skills:
- Proficiency in packing products securely for safe transportation.
- Familiarity with shipping software and order tracking systems plus basic computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Time management skills to meet shipping deadlines.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new shipping methods and technologies.
Pay Rate:
12.00 USD based on experience
Salary may be negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Work hours 8:00am-5.00pm
