Current valid driver s license, proof of insurance and personal transportation which can safely accommodate daily commutes between headquarters and farmers market and store locations with all the required gear and products. Mileage reimbursement rates are standard.
Primary Functions
Act as the community face of the Olympia Provisions brand at farmers markets, events and at store demos. This requires a positive, energetic and overall enthusiastic demeanor while engaging with and educating our customers about our products, our brand, our history, while creating a positive and memorable customer experience.
Build and maintain relationships with regular customers.
Commit as a dedicated staff member at your assigned markets for the full market season, and demos throughout the year.
Achieve all revenue goals for selling events and markets.
Maintain familiarity with products including quality standards, product attributes, food and beverage pairings and complementary product pairings. Be aware of OP products which are not available at markets, and keep up with news about new products
Transport all required gear, supplies and product safely in your personal vehicle to and from the market and/or stores
Safely setup and breakdown stations, and maintain a complete demo/market kit with all needed supplies and gear, communicating with managers if you are low on supplies or equipment needs repair/replacement.
Maintain an attractive and cohesive display with product and sampling throughout the course of the market and/or demo
Maintain an accurate till for cash transactions, and process all cash and credit card transactions via Square. Reconcile inventory and sales at the end of the market. Complete the End of Shift closing procedures and online form.
Attend staff meetings to maintain product knowledge, best practices and procedures
Report to the Inside Sales Manager to solve problems and improve service

Work Environment
Work may be performed outside under a tent in all weather conditions, or inside retail store settings. Gloves, a personal handwashing station and personal hand sanitizer will be made available. Clean and organized workstation is required as well as ensuring proper food safety standards. This position requires constant interaction with customers and the general public.

This active position requires standing for up to 6 hours. This position also requires walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing throughout the day.
Able to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds

Use of hands - knife skills and ability to use electric skillets or propane grills.
Taste/Smell - Ability to detect and perceive spices and herbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Part time positions available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday potential for more. Market Season is typically May - October, demo program is seasonally focused, but year round.
Typical Schedule:
Friday: Demo (10:30 - 2:30 or 3:30 - 7:30)
Saturday: Farmers Market (7:00-3:00)
Sunday: Demo or Farmers Market (times above)
