Shift Differentials
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) which spans ages from infant and pediatric to geriatric patients. Promotes continuity of care for patients, providing direct care. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains standards for professional nursing practices in the clinical setting. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and provides the care needed as described in the department/unit’s policy and procedures. Shifts vary according to the needs of the patients and department. Has on call responsibilities.

- Evening $3.00/hour
- Night $5.00/hour
- Weekend Premium $4.50/hour
- Standby Premium $4.00/hour
- Charge Premium $3.25/hour
- Float/PM Premium $2.50/hour
- Per Diem Premium 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
- Certification Premium $2.00/hour

EDUCATION
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
- Minimum one year recent post anesthesia care nursing or critical care nursing experience preferred.
- Current Washington State nursing license.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS) is encouraged but not required.
