Olympic Pharmacy & Healthcare Services, an independent pharmacy and Durable Medical Equipment retail store situated in Gig Harbor, Washington, is dedicated to delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care and specialized services within our community. Currently, we are seeking a committed and experienced Customer Service Representative to become an integral part of our dynamic Medical Equipment and Supplies sales team.
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll report directly to the Sales Manager. Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing customer needs with effective communication and problem-solving skills, contributing to their healthcare and well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist customers with professionalism and empathy.
- Actively engage with customers to address questions about specific products or services.
- Answer telephones promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a seamless experience when ringing up sales, arranging for delivery or pick-up of orders.
- Confirm customers are satisfied with products and services.
- Make routine sales calls (not cold calling).
- Prepare accurate sales orders and maintain proper documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the smooth delivery of products, services, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of current products, services, and insurance guidelines.
- Handle multiple tasks with efficiency and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with the team to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as directed by the Sales Manager to support the efficient operation of the department.
Required License/Certification:
- Driver’s license in good standing.
Required Experience/Knowledge:
- 1 year in-person retail sales as a Customer Service Representative/Associate.
- 1 year operating a Point of Sales system (POS).
- 1 year handling cash and credit transactions.
- 1 year processing sales orders (preferred).
- Knowledge of confidentiality practices, such as HIPAA.
- Knowledge of insurance providers, coverage, and compliance standards is very beneficial.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Customer service-oriented with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills covering record-keeping, scheduling, and document management.
- Attentive to details for precise data entry, thorough record-keeping, and efficient order processing.
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication for diverse interactions (customers, vendors, team).
- Proficiency in relevant industry-specific tools and software (e.g., POS, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Proven ability to effectively multitask, manage time, and adeptly handle frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
Work Hours (Based on store & business needs):
- Opening and Closing Shifts
- Monday through Friday
- Rotating Saturdays
Physical Requirements:
- Must live within a reasonable commute; preference will be given to those living locally.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Occasionally lift, carry, and move items up to 30 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling store/office equipment, cash, supplies and products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and accuracy.
- Constant bending, reaching, handling, and maneuvering of supplies and products.
- May be exposed Hazardous Exposure (Blood Borne Pathogens, Chemical & Infectious)
