Also, we offer opportunities for growth**Job purposeDishwashers are essential members of a full dining restaurant team. Dishwashers ensure the cleanliness of all restaurant silverware, glassware, kitchenware, and tableware in a timely and professional manner. Moreover, dishwashers ensure the cleanliness of other restaurant areas such as the dining floor, kitchen floor, bathrooms, and general kitchen areas such as preparation tables, sinks, and equipment. Lastly, dishwashers are in charge of safely disposing of all trash in a timely and professional fashion.Duties and responsibilitiesClean and wash dishes - this includes cleaning and washing all silverware, glassware, kitchenware, and tableware in a timely fashionMaintain kitchen and dining floor cleanliness- this includes sweeping or mopping the floor when necessary, especially during the beginning and end of a shiftEnsure the cleanliness of other restaurant areas such as the dining floor, kitchen floor, bathrooms, and general kitchen areas such as preparation tables, sinks, and equipmentHandle trash disposal - this includes bagging and disposing of trash in a timely and safe fashionPerform side jobs - this position requires performing side job duties before, during, and after each shiftQualificationsOne year of dishwashing experience preferredAbility to:Handle, clean, and wash all restaurant ware in a safe and hygienic manner that adheres to all company and government policies and protocolsHandle sharp and potentially dangerous items such as knives and can openers * Display a positive and friendly attitude at all timesAble to work in a teamAble to communicate well with staff, management, and customers, even under pressureAbility to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times under pressureWilling to take instructions in a professional and understanding mannerAble to adhere to strict safety regulations regarding the handling of dangerous items and chemicalsWorking conditionsMostly indoor kitchen working environment in a restaurant that handles a variety of fish, seafood, vegetables, fruits, wheat products, rice, dry seaweed, sauces, and many other food and beverage products. Candidates with severe food or chemical allergies must inform management during the application process.Physical requirementsEmployees must be able to stand for long periods of time. Job requires bending and kneeling in order to reach certain items such as plates, spoons, sauces, silverware, utensils, etc... Job requires moderate lifting (maximum 65 lbs).
