ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for operation of cutting, edging/seaming machines. Must produce a finished product within standard tolerance.
- Must have the ability to set up, operate and perform basic maintenance on all machines (cutter) within the department
- Pre-stage raw material (glass) according to work orders and place finish product in appropriate staging areas in accordance with established glass handling guidelines
- Gripping, cupping and clamping hand and wrist motions are required to support, carry and maneuver glass/objects to platform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self and other
- Work is physical in nature requiring ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis (sometimes overhead)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
- 1 year of manufacturing/production/machine operating experience - Preferred
- Ability to use a forklift and overhead crane - Preferred
- Experience with hand and power tools - Preferred
- Mechanical aptitude - Preferred
