Supervisor, Warehouse/Logistics
Omnicell, Inc. has an exciting opportunity open for a Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor to join our Inventory Controls Team in Warrendale, PA. The Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor will oversee all warehouse operations and will be responsible for managing resources to efficiently perform put away, replenishment, cycle counting and Service Supply Chain (SSC) shipping while driving Continuous Improvement activities to enhance Safety and production efficiency.
The Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor will report to the Inventory and Planning Controls Manager and assist in the implementation and execution of the overall SSC logistics plan, provide leadership, efficient workflow direction, developmental opportunities, and a positive, healthy, and safe work environment for all department personnel.
Responsibilities
- Clearly articulate and manage warehouse goals and objectives to the extended team delegating duties to SSC Shipping.
- Ensure and maintain standards of health and safety at the work environment.
- Manage ordering of service depot inventory for offsite warehouses to maintain the flow of service-related activities.
- Manage and maintain calibrated tools to support Field Services.
- Manage order picking of daily production material from multiple warehouses to maintain the flow of production for manufacturing and SSC.
- Provide leadership in all aspects of warehouse operations including staffing, inventory controls, and distribution of inbound and outbound material for SSC.
- Managing Omnicell’s inventory through Cycle Counts, Excess and Obsolete reviews, and transaction integrity for both the manufacturing and SSC ERP systems.
- Develops and maintains SSC shipping and warehouse management procedures and efficiencies, inventory maintenance and accuracy, and SSC order shipments.
- Approves all inventory adjustments made by warehouse team for both ERP plants within Thorn Hill.
- Conduct random audits for the cycle count program for warehouse material in both the manufacturing and SSC ERP Plant.
- Training and onboarding of new warehouse and SSC team members
- Coordinate and communicate monthly metric data and needed production information for use by the Plant Manager, team members, planner/scheduler, engineering, and materials departments for manufacturing and SSC.
- Assess the performance of personnel within the Performance Management System.
- Take a leadership role in maintaining a consistent, high level of quality, and maintaining the quality system in place for medical devices.
- Maintain knowledge and provide training for the company MRP, SSC RMA, SSC decommissioning and SSC On Time Delivery processes.
- Review and approve employee timecards on a weekly basis.
- Recommend process, quality, and cost improvements.
- Maintain employee records such as discipline records, accident reports, training records, attendance, and the SSC On Call Calendar.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated Team Leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to positively direct, coach and motivate employees to meet organizational goals.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to effectively use SAP, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possesses a keen focus on employee safety and establishing a safe and healthy work environment.
- A thorough and deep understanding of inventory control practices.
- Ability to utilize continuous improvement methodologies to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Practical knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
Basic Qualifications
- AA degree or a minimum 2 or more years of directly applicable experience as a Warehouse Supervisor plus 3 years of Material Handler experience.
- 1 or more years of experience with an ERP System (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience
- APICS certification
- Hazmat certification
- Experience with medical device manufacturing and / or regulated products quality systems.
- Experience in Six Sigma and Quality skills training
