What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at OmniSource?
Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, train, and discipline all union employees within department.
- Manage, supervise, and direct union employees in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Ensure compliance in safety, environment, and personnel issues that may arise.
- Manage inventory on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate others.
- Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more as required.
- Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap or desire to learn.
- Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, team-oriented, work environment.
- Must have favorable results of credit checks, background checks, and other assessments.
- Minimum of one year supervisory or lead experience in an industrial setting.
