Project Coordinator

Omron Automation and Safety is looking for an energetic and focused Project Coordinator in Hoffman Estates, IL. This position will have primary day-to-day responsibility for being the lifeline to the project team. The key responsibilities will be coordinating delivery of product, resolving logistic issues, customer setup, order entry, resolution of billing issues & disputes, project billing, purchasing non-Omron parts, providing demand requirements for Omron content to SCM, interfacing with 3rd Party Suppliers/Integrators, and local suppliers to provide project status.

Responsibilities:

Contract Administration:

  • Have complete understanding of contract to insure that the project is compliant with the terms for delivery and billing.
  • Maintain contract files.
  • Ensure that all transactions are in accordance with contract terms.
  • Initiate progress billings.
  • Initiate final and service billings.

Project Procurement:

  • Ensure the product is sourced and delivered per customer requirements.
  • Provide project demand requirements for Omron content to Supply Chain Team.
  • Purchase non-Omron Parts.
  • Vendor Management to monitor delivery and pricing.
  • Expedite & ensure that parts/assemblies are at project site as planned.
  • Interface with 3rd party suppliers & integrators for final product delivery to project site.
  • Register and update part numbers for non-Omron parts in JDE Item Maintenance.

Project Support:

  • Project administration support to project team and project manager. Lifeline to the project team.
  • Interface with project manager, Solutions and Services division (SSD), Automated Optical Inspection group (AOI), project cost controller and other functional groups.
  • Work directly with project costing system to execute specific transactions.
  • Work directly with credit & customer care to setup new customers.
  • Provide reporting & status updates to the organization as appropriate.
  • Enter all project orders into JDE.
  • Work in conjunction with Credit Dept. on project billing disputes.
  • Work as a liaison with project cost controller on revenue recognition issues.
  • Provide support to SSD and AOI as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working cross-functionally or in a project environment.
  • JED knowledge or other ERP systems experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills.
