What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at OMT?
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including family planning, health coaching, and memory care.
- Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct discharge planning for patients transitioning from hospital to home or other healthcare facilities.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, including airway management and cardiac catheterization.
- Utilize evidence-based practice guidelines to provide high-quality and cost-effective care.
- Perform utilization management to ensure appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-care.
Experience:
- Must have a valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Experience in neonatal ventilator management and laboratory interpretation is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
