Core Duties And Responsibilities:
- Research & Content Development: Assist in researching topics, gathering information, and developing content that aligns with the show’s objectives and target audience.
- Script Assistance: Support the Senior Producer in drafting, editing, and organizing scripts, ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and ready for on-air delivery.
- Guest Coordination: Collaborate with the production team to identify potential guests, conduct pre-interviews, and manage guest logistics, including scheduling and preparation for on-air appearances.
- Production Support: Aid in the coordination of various production elements, including graphics, video packages, and other media assets, ensuring they are ready for broadcast.
- On-Air Assistance: Provide support during live broadcasts or taped segments, helping to manage timing, cueing, and any last-minute changes.
- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with all team members, including producers, directors, and technical staff, to ensure smooth production operations.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative duties such as organizing production schedules, maintaining contact lists, and updating production notes.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a news environment.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with production tools and software, such as newsroom management systems, editing software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
