Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under direction, ensure that activities and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of New Day Recovery.
- Make referrals as needed.
- Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services as appropriate in order to make referrals and conduct follow-ups.
- Provide individual counseling, engage clients, and conduct group counseling as needed.
- Aid in treatment plans and client evolvement through the continuum.
- Prepare written reports, regular case dictation, and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional ethics.
- Participate in curriculum development and supervision of clients.
- Other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred.
- Completed 40 hours of education in chemical dependency counseling/clinical methods.
- Must have a CDCA certification.
- Must have knowledge and experience working with alcohol/drug assessment and case management.
- Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must possess group work skills.
- Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with a team of professional staff is desirable.
