Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Under direction, ensure that activities and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of New Day Recovery.
• Make referrals as needed.
• Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers, and other services as appropriate in order to make referrals and conduct follow-ups.
• Provide individual counseling, engage clients, and conduct group counseling as needed.
• Aid in treatment plans and client evolvement through the continuum.
• Prepare written reports, regular case dictation, and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional ethics.
• Participate in curriculum development and supervision of clients.
• Other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma with 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred.
• Completed 40 hours of education in chemical dependency counseling/clinical methods.
• Must have a CDCA certification.
• Must have knowledge and experience working with alcohol/drug assessment and case management.
• Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must possess group work skills.
• Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with a team of professional staff is desirable.
