Transformer Backhaul Technician Position Overview:

The Transformer Backhaul Technical position will enable the safe movement of equipment from Oncor service centers, storm staging areas, oil spill sites and or other equipment accumulations areas to SOSF (Systems Operating Service Facility). Provide onsite logistical and building maintenance support. The Service Technician must have good customer service skills, be flexible and have Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft software, will support the successful candidate. The ability to work independently and in a team environment. Be a responsible self-starter is essential for success in this position.

Transformer Backhaul Technician Essential Functions:

Essential functions of this position include

• Work under direction of the Team Lead
• Pulling and issuing material for construction and maintenance projects
• Inspecting material
• Transferring material
• Replenishing material
• Processing orders
• Performing quality control
• Performing inventory auditing/accounting functions
• Performing routine maintenance
• Preparing for disposal of materials
• Recycling and salvaging materials
• Operating forklift
• Assisting in emergency restoration
• Supporting other warehouse workloads as required
• Performing general housekeeping, cleaning and sweeping daily or as needed
• Banding transformers
• Data entry

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft software

Physical Demands:

This individual should be able to perform the necessary functions as it relates to the job:

• Stand, walk and sit over 2/3 of the time
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 of the time
• Reach with hands or arms over 2/3 of the time
• Climb or balance under 1/3 of the time
• Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl over 2/3 of the time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds over 2/3 of the time
• Must have a depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)
• Work in high, precarious places under 1/3 of the time
• Perform around toxic or caustic chemicals under 1/3 of the time
• Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions over 2/3 of the time, (extreme heat and cold)
• Endure loud noise (Examples: horns, material handling equipment)

Transformer Backhaul Technician Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm
