The Settlement & Title Operations Manager is responsible for providing hands-on leadership, operational oversight, and escalation support to ensure the efficient, accurate and timely execution of title services for real estate transactions. This role serves as the key escalation point for complex or exception-based files, supports employee development through coaching and guidance, and steps in as needed to assist with file processing during periods of elevated volume.A qualified candidate will possess the ability to handle unexpected and complex situations while maintaining professional decorum that facilitates employee satisfaction, accountability and growth, as well as a positive customer experience. Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Development and OversightProvide day-to-day oversight and support to assigned staff to ensure role clarity, efficiency, development and adherence to policies and proceduresFacilitate a positive, productive and collaborative workplace environment for all team membersAct as the escalation authority for complex, sensitive or exception-based transactionsResolve escalated issues by coordinating with cross-functional teams, management and stakeholdersOperational Flexibility & Team SupportAssist with processing title files during periods of elevated volume to ensure service levels, accuracy and closing timelines are maintainedProvide hands-on support and guidance to processors who are in training or expanding their responsibilitiesStep in as needed to help stabilize workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure best practices are followed during high-demand periodsOperational ExcellenceOversee end-to-end customer experience while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth, accurate and timely transaction executionIdentify process gaps and recommend improvements based on escalation trends and industry updatesCollaboration & CultureFoster a positive, productive and growth-oriented culture with One Abstract consistent with the core values of the company.Coordinate with leadership team to align operating structures, performance outcomes and growth objectives that meet financial objectives.
