Under the direction of the Deposit Services Manager, the Deposit Services Specialist provides a wide range of support to the Deposit Services Team and all other Bank departments. This position is responsible for monitoring and processing all items related to the Deposit Services of the Bank. This person must also possess a working knowledge of the wire process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Daily process of Incoming/Outgoing Wires (foreign and domestic).
  • Daily reconciling of general ledger accounts for wires.
  • Daily process of ACH-merges and violations.
  • Back-up when required for daily reconcilement and handling of ATMs.
  • Back-up when required to Non-Post items, New Accounts reviews, Chargebacks, EFT disputes.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of client data, this position is not eligible to work remotely.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for verifying that signatures on all wires are compliant with Bank policy.
  • Responsible for processing daily reports and settlements as delegated by the Deposit Services Manager.
  • Responsible for monitoring Deposit Services email Inbox and other Inboxes as assigned.
  • Maintain detailed records on all work responsibilities-included but not limited to a daily task list and posting journal.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the Bank’s customers.
  • Remain current on and adhere to all regulatory requirements and training.
  • Responsible for providing back up to all other Deposit Services Specialists-as cross-training permits.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years related experience preferred.

Language and Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Effective interpersonal relationships with management and team members
  • A thorough understanding and application of all policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to the work of Deposit Services
  • Ability to effectively manage time as related to daily tasks
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a high-pressure environment while maintaining professional demeanor
  • Ability to operate in a team environment to accomplish shared goals

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation
