The number 1 Yelped restaurant in New York City, "The Halal Guys", is finally arriving in the Bay Area, with its first south bay location opening soon in San Jose! We are looking for highly motivated AM's that are interested in growing a new restaurant from Day 1, hand-picking a "second to none" crew starting with employee #1, and working with the autonomy to make critical business decisions every day.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with employees, customers, and vendors using a "second to none" attitude.
- Adhere to operational standards to deliver 100% quality of food and hospitality to customers at all times.
- Assure proper staffing in all shifts through recruiting, hiring and the training of team members and managers.
- Full training in New York City (this isn’t just for the GM!)

- Knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the restaurant.
- Assists in recruiting, performing interviews, and training new Employees to ensure the restaurant is staffed at the appropriate level.
- Manages and delegates daily functions of the restaurant, including prepping product, making food, serving customers, and completing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
- Assist the GM with ordering, inventory, and reconciling invoices for all products.
- Focus on hitting sales goals, manages labor, and controls inventory using the tools provided.
- Ensures sanitation practices are being used in handling, and preparing food in the kitchen.
- Ensures all safety and security policies are being followed as set by the Company.
- Trains and coaches Employees during each shift to ensure Company and brand standards are being met.
- Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the restaurant.
- 1 or more years of restaurant experience, including progressive supervisory experience.
- Legally able to work within the State and Federal Guidelines.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shit.
- Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Constant face-to-face interactions with Employees and customers.
- Safely navigate in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.
- Most shifts are eight hours, but this may vary.
- Assistant Managers can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours, and will have additional opening/closing responsibilities.
- Comply with the brand and Company uniform and personal hygiene policies for each shift.
