Technical Implementation Specialist

Overview

The Technical Implementation Specialist is responsible for the deployment and implementation of customer-purchased products and services. This role involves collaborating closely with customers and internal teams to accurately scope deployment projects, configure IT services, and tailor solutions to meet customer requirements within defined service parameters. Serving as the primary technical contact during IT service onboarding, the specialist will be heavily engaged in customer communication and consultation, ensuring a seamless and effective implementation process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and implementation of IT products and services for customers.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to define and scope deployment projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and service capabilities.
• Build, configure, and customize IT services to meet customer needs within defined service limits.
• Serve as the primary technical contact during IT service onboarding, providing expert guidance and support.
• Engage in proactive communication with customers to ensure a smooth and successful implementation process.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of deployed services to ensure functionality and performance meet customer expectations.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers, ensuring they are equipped to use the deployed services effectively.
• Identify opportunities for service improvements and enhancements during the deployment process, recommending solutions that add value for the customer.
• Maintain and manage configuration templates and documentation for currently offered IT services.
• Ensure the continued alignment of services with customer needs through regular reviews and adjustments.
• Monitor system performance and address any technical issues or challenges that arise during the deployment phase.
• Document all deployment activities, configurations, and customizations made during the implementation process.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, project scopes, and technical decisions.
• Create and update technical documentation, user guides, and support materials to facilitate future maintenance and support.
•  Collaborate with internal teams to maintain best practices and service standards. 

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive Networking Experience: Proficient in deploying and configuring networking technologies, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs, with a strong understanding of network protocols, subnetting, and IP addressing.
• IT Service Configuration and Customization: Skilled in building, configuring, and customizing IT services to align with customer requirements, ensuring seamless integration within existing environments.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to network and security deployments.
• Customer-Focused Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Experience in scoping, planning, and executing deployment projects, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) with a strong emphasis on networking and network security.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network deployment and configuration, including experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and other networking technologies.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network , or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in networking fundamentals and best practices.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing network security solutions, including endpoint, email, and network security products, within diverse IT environments.
