What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Tech position at Onslow Memorial Hospital?
Performs CT imaging by demonstrating anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Available for call as requested. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible. If eligible for ARRT(R), must acquire ARRT(R) within specified guidelines of ARRT. Then, must achieve ARRT(R)(C) within 18 months of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to see, hear and speak clearly. Must have hand and wrist dexterity. Must be able to stoop and reach six feet to retrieve supplies. Must be able to lift and move supplies weighing a minimum of 30 pounds. Must be able to assist in moving and lifting patients weighing 150 pounds or more. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of up to 6 or more hours. Must be physically able to do intravenous injections, operate computer keyboard and gantry controls.
