We are looking for an experienced and innovative individual contributor to fill the position of AI Vendor Coordinator within our AI Center of Excellence group based in Houston, TX. This position will be responsible for discovering, vetting, and coordinating with product, services, and research (universities) vendors. Essential Job Responsibilities Creates and maintain relationships with external commercial vendors of products and services. Surface vendors that may be of interest to a business unit at Oxy. Search for specific vendors needed for a concrete challenge at Oxy. Conduct proof-of-concept projects to validate vendor technologies and qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or related field required A minimum of 3 years of experience in vendor management desired. Strong communication and relationship skills. Knowledge of legal contracting preferred. Knowledge in AI and ML required. Deep energy industry knowledge required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI). Occidental does not offer sponsorship of employment-based nonimmigrant visa petitions for this role.
