Job Summary
OPAH GREEK FLAVOR is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated team members to join our vibrant food service team. As part of our restaurant, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through food preparation, efficient service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the food industry, providing valuable experience in quick service and restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve authentic Greek cuisine with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payment handling
- Manage cashiering duties including cash handling, processing transactions accurately, and balancing registers
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling products to enhance guest experience
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and dining areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food safety practices including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients, portioning, and plating dishes efficiently
- Buss tables and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to ensure a welcoming environment
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure prompt service and order accuracy
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in cashiering, food handling, or serving roles enhances success in this position
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and efficient order processing are beneficial
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations is desirable
- Previous experience working in cafes, grocery stores, or retail environments involving customer interaction is advantageous
