FINANCIAL WELLBEING COACH, CREDIT & SMALL BUSINESS
DEPARTMENT: HOPE Inside Retail Network
ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to a Regional Vice President
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain client bases, keeping current client plans up-to-date and recruiting new clients on an ongoing basis.
- Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies for meeting client’s financial objectives.
- Community outreach and marketing execution.
- Individual coaching by phone and in-person.
- Schedule and facilitate workshops on small business and financial literacy topics.
- Data entered into the CRM system daily.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help aspiring entrepreneurs with overall business plan development and strategy.
- Help aspiring entrepreneurs develop business strategies and mitigate risks around new products, services, and/or processes.
- Perform small business workshops bi-weekly
- Coach entrepreneurs through launching new businesses and/or growing or diversifying mature businesses.
- Connect clients to key resources for technical and financial support.
- Facilitate sessions to help entrepreneurs develop appropriate business models, business plans, financial projections, cash flow models, marketing plans, loan packaging, core processes, and customer relationships.
- Teach clients how to conduct market research and competitive analysis.
- Keep up to date with current entrepreneurial trends, market opportunities and skills training. Possess an understanding of the entrepreneurial mind-set and the role entrepreneurial skills play in economic development.
- Collaborate with other partners, chambers of commerce, local economic development agencies and lenders.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience as entrepreneurs, in small start-up settings, or with experience advising new businesses through the startup process.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, however will consider comparable 2 years work experience in the business/finance industry.
- Presentation Skills: The right candidate must have the ability to conduct group and individual recruitment and training sessions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how entrepreneurship and related activities serve to strengthen and grow the economy.
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter who can begin, manage and complete several projects and programs simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products will be required in this position.
- Ability to travel with a valid driver’s license.
