At the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), a 60-person investment staff manages a $100 billion portfolio of diversified assets across public and private markets. We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Private Real Estate team.
The Cash and Security Lending team is seeking an Investment Analyst to support all aspects of investment and portfolio management. The Investment Analyst will apply strong critical thinking and analytical skills to develop portfolio insights, analyze portfolio construction, and make investment recommendations. This position provides the opportunity to apply a strong analytical background to reviewing investments and performance of many of the top-performing investment managers around the globe.

What you’ll bring
- A bachelor's degree with a master's or MBA being preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a role performing complex analysis and writing associated reports
- 3 years or more of direct investments experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and complete time sensitive tasks and projects
- Develop a thorough understanding of current investment activities and investment terminology
- Inquisitiveness, a love of learning and the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Outstanding Excel skills including the ability to create pivot tables and use the v-Lookup function, as well as PC proficiency and strong MS Office experience including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- The CFA is strongly preferred
- The ability to become licensed as a State Retirement System Investment Officer (SRSIO) within six months of hire and to abide by the OPERS Personal Trading Policy is required
- A collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere with an opportunity to work with other areas of our Investments team
- A comprehensive compensation package that includes a competitive annual salary range of $95,700.80- $119,600.00, with room to grow!
- May be eligible to earn up to a 45% annual performance-based award through the OPERS Incentive Compensation Program
