Job Summary:
Small ophthalmology sub-speciality office seeks professional receptionist to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays between 8 am and 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately - Receive and organize a patient referral
- Schedule consultations and follow up appointments
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays - Call patients to confirm upcoming appointments
- Maintain electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information
- Keep the reception area clean and organized
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
