HR Associate Position Overview
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking talented individuals to join our Talent Acquisition and Employee Benefits and Payroll Support teams.
In the Employee Benefits and Payroll Support Associate role, you will conduct agency public record requests, assist with running payroll reports, track data, and follow up with internal and external customers as necessary. You will utilize agency programs such as SharePoint, OnBase, and OAKS to respond to external and internal requests for employment verifications and Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) forms. Additionally, you will collect and process new hire documents, ensuring accurate filing into appropriate systems.
As a Talent Acquisition Associate, you will assist the Talent Acquisition team with data management tasks. This includes accurately entering, monitoring, and verifying information across various systems. You will coordinate with internal and external customers, process pre-hire background checks and drug tests, and ensure a smooth hiring process by working closely with the Talent Acquisition Analysts. You will also provide administrative support by generating reports, providing technical assistance to applicants and candidates, assisting with online assessments, and offering general administrative support.
To thrive in these roles, you should possess a strong technological aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new software and programs. Excellent verbal, reasoning, and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the rest of the Office suite programs. The Talent Acquisition Unit administers the recruitment, selection, and hiring process for Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD). Our functions include facilitating full cycle hiring processes, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, pre-employment testing, pre-hire processes, and onboarding.
Pay Information
Starting salary will be step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. There are cost of living increases to these rates each year and additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. The current wage progression for this position is in the table below.

Location Requirements
We are currently in the process of increasing our in-office presence to 5 days per week across all OOD locations. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements.
Daytime travel within Ohio may be required. The selected candidate must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, must have a valid driver’s license.
