Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm (Schedule can be flexible within the normal business day)
Highlights of the position:
- Provides stellar customer service to our patients by demonstrating respect, kindness, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Responsible for connecting patients to affordable coverage via Outreach & Enrollment insurance options, MaineCare, PCHC’s Sliding Fee Program and other services.
- Is educated on and maintains constant awareness of eligibility and enrollment rules and procedures, the range of qualified health plan options and insurance affordability programs, and relevant guidelines and resources.
- Provides direct support to patients in completing appropriate applications and paperwork for assistance, both by phone and in-person.
- Maintains appropriate documentation of patient-specific assessments, education/outreach efforts, and tracking to meet program requirements.
- Establishes and maintains collegial relationships across PCHC as appropriate. Liaisons and advocates to support patient needs.
- Collaborates with all teams to improve the patient experience and O&E processes.
- Engages and supports patients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for insurance purposes
