What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT position at Opportunities?
PRN- Hours may vary.
Under Administrative and Medical Supervision, the RRT provides all assigned aspect of Respiratory Care to patients. All RRT are expected to complete assigned work in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with HCMH policy and procedure guidelines.
Education and Formal Training: Employee must be a NBRC licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist. Must hold certificates as per policy.
Work Experience: At least two years experience in the field of respiratory care. This time can include clinical time spent as a student.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgement , and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must have thorough knowledge of all areas of Respiratory Care. Must develop knowledge of current hospital emergency policies and procedures, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.
