Opportunity Bank of Montana is adding to our outstanding team with a Deposit Operations Specialist. This position may be based from any of our branches across the state, so long as there is room to accommodate. As our Deposit Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of data processing, verification, error resolution and balancing duties to support bank deposit operations and functions. You will assist with bank-wide branch and customer support. Specific duties could include quality control and process audits on new accounts, account file maintenance, and providing back-office support for the Bank's debit card program and platform.
- Process and complete a wide variety of reports and settlements within set deadlines. Balance and reconcile assigned bank accounts and general ledgers.
- Process all daily account exceptions. Perform variety of tasks on customer accounts such as posting adjustments and corrections.
- Review and verify accuracy of new and replacement account documents. Ensure accuracy of data in system(s).
- Scan and/or index deposit related documents into document imaging system and submit document corrections to appropriate department.
- Process returned mail, account file maintenance requests and handle account research and customer statement requests.
- Process incoming/outgoing wire transfers, ACH origination files and electronic banking transactions.
- Process error resolution disputes, account charge-offs and fraud related corrections and reports.
- Process levy and garnishment requests.
- Assist with bank-wide branch and customer support.
- Complete/process a variety of computer functions including copying, moving or adjusting various files between systems and computers and maintaining electronic documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Education and Experience Preferences
6 months previous banking or general office experience
General knowledge of accounting or equivalent training to become familiar with basic accounting principles and terminology and account balancing
