II. DESCRIPTION
A. Purpose and Scope
To provide support to a family with a child or children with developmental disabilities. The support could be in a familys home or out of the home.
B. Responsibilities
To participate as a member of a team, representing the childs needs, complete family support evaluations and attend ELP, carry out all individual programs, maintain payroll records, participate in ongoing training, other duties pertaining to the families home as assigned by supervisor.
THERAP proficiencies, including but not limited to S-Comms; T-logs (new & view daily); GERs (new, review); ISP data (enter); Health Tracking (new, search); Attendance (enter).
Children and their families are respected, reflected by staffs sensitivity to the needs of children and their families for privacy and dignity.
Staff provide necessary supports and training to target those skills, resources and experiences that will facilitate the realization of the children and families goals.
Ensure that children who depend on others to identify and respond to emergencies have support and special equipment in order to learn to anticipate, recognize and take care of their safety needs.
Ensure necessary supports are in place to keep environments clean and hazard free.
Ensure children are free from all forms of abuse and neglect.

D. Site Specific
Familys home - Be a positive role mode for the child/children, maintain positive working relationship with families, maintain a safe work environment, complete work in a safe manner.

A. Education and Training
High School education or equivalent
B. Technical Requirements
Must be 18 years old, physically able to lift 50 pounds or more.
C. Experience
Working with children
