Perform general maintenance and repairs and coordinate the flow of work for all phases of general building maintenance for a restaurant, bar, and entertainment destination. Partner with department and venue leadership to ensure proper maintenance and repair of the physical facility. Reports to General Manager.
- Perform general maintenance and light repairs on the interior/exterior building and associated outdoor grounds. This includes electrical systems (repair switches, plugs and light fixtures; change lights at extreme heights, etc.), plumbing systems (flush valves, faucets, drains, etc.), and basic appliance repair and installation.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including painting, coil cleaning, changing filters, lubrication, visual inspections of HVAC systems, and more. Inspect and maintain elevators and lifts.
- Schedule and supervise outside contractors and vendors for preventative maintenance and repairs of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, and elevator systems. Order parts and provide follow-up and resolution when necessary.
- Monitor and log equipment maintenance performed to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
- Work with venue leadership to maintain inventory of general consumable parts and supplies (light bulbs, filters, paint, etc.) to minimize interruptions in operations.
- Provide oversight of automated building systems (security, lighting, HVAC, etc.) to ensure continuity of facility operations. Be able to investigate, evaluate, and identify potential recurring equipment issues and determine necessary follow-up steps.
- Support venue operations by assisting with general tasks and fulfilling ad-hoc requests to maintain expected levels of service--may include hauling trash, sweeping and mopping floors, moving tables, providing set-up for special events, receiving deliveries, etc.
- Serve as in-house point person for minor capital improvement projects as needed.
- Serve as point-of-contact for third-party housekeeping vendor. Work with venue leadership to provide oversight on tasks and scheduling needs.
- Support the safety and security function to protect the venue's assets and the personal safety of the employees and guests. Ensure safety and building codes and practices are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school graduate or equivalent, some trade school preferred
Experience
- 3 years related field experience required
- Exposure to general plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated team player and self-starter
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintaining tow motors, trucks, chillers, pumps, saws, drills, etc.
Licenses / Certifications
