Job Summary
The Lead Copywriter at Optimum is responsible for managing all creative development and execution of assigned campaigns/projects with an emphasis in direct response for B2C and B2B. For this role, the focus is on B2B work, overseeing, writing copy and providing creative direction to the internal/external creative team. They are responsible for helping to maintain the Optimum brand voice, while supporting the brand and product strategies to deliver high-quality work that achieves business objectives.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00 - $168,912.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.

Job Summary
The Lead Copywriter at Optimum is responsible for managing all creative development and execution of assigned campaigns/projects with an emphasis in direct response for B2C and B2B. They are responsible for helping to maintain the Optimum brand voice, while supporting the brand and product strategies to deliver high-quality work that achieves business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Writes across multiple creative disciplines and platforms with an emphasis in direct response for B2C and B2B
- Oversees copy and provide creative direction for all B2B work
- Manages B2B creative team in the concept development and execution of a wide range of SMB and Enterprise work
- Works with internal/external creative team and marketing team to meet marketing objectives, and ensure work follows B2B brand voice guidelines
- Establishes and maintain B2B Enterprise voice and tone for all channels
- Manages concept development and brainstorming for all assigned creative projects to create multiple ideas that support the brand and product strategies
- Develops innovative, effective marketing communications that are strategically sound, across all media platforms that achieve positive business results at the level of advertising agency standards
- Transforms facts and strategic insights into compelling ideas that achieve maximum results across all media platforms.
- Manage tight timelines and multiple deliverables and requests
- Work in close partnership with all marketing teams, creative director and internal/external creative teams
- Assist Designers and Production in the preparation of meticulous layouts that deliver on the conceived concept
- 10 years copywriting experience in all media. Direct marketing background a big plus, with experience in managing creative development for complete campaigns from start to finish. Should have a good graphic design sense
- Excellent grammar and proofing skills
- Writing experience in all media including direct mail, print, TV, radio, outdoor, web and interactive. Experience with social media content a must
- Must have marketing and advertising experience developing integrated campaigns and an understanding of social platforms and web building content
- Must be able to understand complex information and communicate the information to consumers
- Demonstrated ability to disaggregate and analyze problems, to probe facts, identify and question assumptions and analyze issues from different perspectives to inform decision-making processes
- Experienced in managing multiple projects and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives
- Strong computer skills a must (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
