What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Technician position at Opus Inspection?
We are seeking an energetic individual to join our rapidly growing and winning team!
Job Purpose
To provide and maintain dynamometers, other lane systems, and build/property maintenance following set preventative maintenance schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostics, calibration, preventive maintenance and repair of dynamometers and other lane systems following set schedules.
- Install, test, and calibrate equipment during construction.
- Mechanical repairs including welding, plumbing, and pneumatic
- May interface with subcontractor representatives in repair and maintenance equipment.
- May assist in maintenance and of repair of other company systems such as alarms, telephone and computer peripheral systems,
- Preform building/property routine maintenance- HVAC, air compressors, sprinkler system.
- Complete necessary paperwork, report on assigned work and assist in the completion of records, reports, and other documents.
- Receive service calls from the stations in their region.
- Often required working hours outside our station Hours of Operation.
- Manage special projects and perform other tasks as required by the System Support Manager.
Requirements
Knowledge of how to use hand tools, mechanical tools and welding tools in conjunction with mechanical test equipment in order to successfully troubleshoot and solve problems on a day to day basis.
Qualifications
- 1 years mechanical experience including, welding, motor replacement, and basic knowledge of 480 volt 3 phase and electric controls.
- Must be familiar with test equipment, including digital voltmeters, micrometer, torque wrench, and other types of test equipment.
- Good driving record and driver's license.
