Position Summary

The Facility Custodian will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas of the winery including the courtyard tasting room, Partners Room, mezzanine, offices, bathrooms, etc. This individual will also be responsible for general maintenance including restocking cleaning supplies and special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs maintenance and custodial duties in many luxury tasting rooms, a professional chef’s kitchen, administrative areas, restrooms, cellar production areas, the vineyard equipment shop and all around the outside grounds.
• Performs common custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, dusting, disposing of compost, recycling and trash, window washing, and specialty stain cleaning for wine and food spills on fine upholstery, rugs, and carpets.
• Operates several types of power cleaning equipment: vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, floor scrubber, polishing equipment, power pressure washer and drives golf carts on the property.
• Assists in the movement of furniture, materials and equipment as required. Plays a significant role in the Green Initiative by communicating to the Facility Manager good (or bad) disposal practices of employees.
• Familiar with cleaning products typically used in a commercial environment and understands the safe and proper use of these products.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area in all custodial storage areas.
• Attends training and meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of applicable experience.
• Experience working in a commercial and/or industrial environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and days of the week.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written communication.
• Work well under pressure and time constraints and displays positive behavior.
• Available Shift: Thursday – Monday, 9/80 work schedule.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, lifting, and other activities necessary to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

SAFETY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accident prevention is of utmost importance in all phases of job responsibilities.

• Follow all company policies and procedures including job safety, safety rules and regulations.
• Assist management to provide safe and healthy working conditions at all times.
• Immediately report all unsafe conditions, work-related accidents, and illnesses to the Safety Manager and your supervisor

COMPENSATION: Base Compensation Range: $17.00 – $23.00 USD hourly

• The base compensation range is base salary only. In addition to base compensation, all roles are eligible for individual performance bonus and company bonus that range from role to role. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a number of factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
