As a Host, you are responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable first impression for ORA's guests.
Responsibilities Include...
- Welcoming and seating guests, presenting menus to guests, and communicating with guests about special occasions or dining circumstances
- Managing the reservations floorplan and an active waiting list
- Keeping track of table statuses throughout service
- Cleaning, organizing and stocking menus and other host stand materials.
- Processing takeout and other off premise orders along with walk-up and phone in gift card purchases
- Answering guest phone inquiries concerning reservation availability, the menu, and restaurant FAQ
- Interacting with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant, and monitoring non-verbal guest cues to ensure positive experiences.
- Performing other duties as directed by the front door manager
The right candidate will have...
- Experience in customer service in a fine dining, high-volume restaurant
- English fluency. Additional languages preferred, but not required
- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a high-pressure work environment.
- Proficiency in using Table Management systems
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
