Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.32445)

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Networking, or related field. Position requires:

• Operating Systems: virtual memory, memory management, multithreading, process scheduling, interrupts, system calls, Linux or Unix, and C programming;
• Parallel Computer Architecture and Programming, synchronizing threads, shared-memory, message-passing, multiprocessors;
• Design, implementation, and use of storage systems;
• Cloud computing infrastructure managing sharing, scheduling, reliability, availability, elasticity, privacy, provisioning and geographic replication;
• Distributed systems: replica management, distributed databases, CAP, ACID, BASE, distributed hashing, fault-tolerant distributed systems;
• Network programming: UDP, TCP, and socket programming, transport protocols including TCP and UDP, network layer protocols including IP, and concepts including packet forwarding;
• Debugging large, complex codebases: debugging memory corruption with Unix utilities including Valgrind, debugging concurrency issues with Unix utilities including GDB, and dynamic instrumentation utilities including system tap or dTrace;
• Databases: relational and non-relational databases including MySQL and MongoDB, and database concepts including relational models, ER models, normalization, DB design for performance, transactions, and concurrency;
• Computer Architecture: general computer architecture including RISC, CISC, memory hierarchy, TLB, and registers; and
• Machine Learning: neural networks including CNN or RNNs, and deep learning frameworks including Keras, PyTorch, or Tensorflow.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $108,826 to $158,999 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and/or equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
