Job Description

Responsibilities

This role involves performing ad hoc and in-depth analyses of large-scale business data to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities while designing simulations and experiments to validate hypotheses and inform strategic decisions. The position requires close collaboration with engineers, finance professionals, and capacity management teams and writing clean, efficient code to develop statistical and machine learning models. It also includes retrieving, analyzing, and presenting data to support data-driven decision-making and creating clear dashboards and visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences. The role involves taking ownership of data gathering across multiple sources using SQL, R, and Python, ensuring data quality through independent formatting and validation. Lastly, it tackles complex problems with advanced analytical methods, leveraging quantitative analysis, experimentation, and data mining to drive improvements and enhance business performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related field focused on Machine Learning techniques.
• 5 years of industry experience in an applied data science or machine learning role.
• Extensive coding experience using Python, R and experience with distributed computing framework (i.e. Spark, Hive) preferred.
• Experience with productionizing Machine Learning models is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS, OCI and/or other Hyperscale IaaS environments.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and infrastructure management systems
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms.
• Knowledge of agile-based iterative development.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
