JOB DESCRIPTION
This position serves as security and customer service personnel helping to ensure the safety of on-campus students and is the first point of entry into Residence Hall. Will screen and register all visitors entering the dorm as well as monitoring for curfew. Will be responsible for manning the desk at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observes all people entering dorm
- Ensures each visitor registers/signs-in
- Maintains and monitors the conditions of the lobby/ building reporting all maintenance / housekeeping issues
- Answers telephone if needed
- Works to build and maintain relations with students
- Contacts the Hall Director/Security/ Director of Residential Services in case of emergencies
- Maintains documentation of all incidents, logs and other mandatory paperwork
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Requires a high school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Prefer 3-6 months clerical or customer service experience
- Must be detail oriented
- Requires good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to maintain composure during times of emergency and be aware of emergency procedures
- Requires the ability to work in a high paced environment with high customer/client contact
