Echo Valley Community School District is a rural PreK-8 school system with two campuses located in Central Vermont and home to the Echo Valley Wolves. This position requires someone with the ability to be flexible, make data informed decisions, and collaborate to meet the needs of students in a PreK-8 setting.
Extensive Knowledge and Understanding of:
- Demonstrates knowledge of topics, concepts and skills essential to effective instruction to support the learning process in a middle school setting
- Solid understanding of the unique social emotional needs of middle school students
- Demonstrates ability to be a flexible and collaborative colleague to meet the needs of students in a 5-8 setting
- Ability to plan integrated units of study using Understanding by Design
- Proven evidence of success in supporting students to be effective writers
- Knowledge and Understanding of Proficiency Based Learning and Personal Learning Plans
- Experience in authentic use of technology integration
Candidates should hold a current Vermont Teacher certification in K-6 or Middle School English and Social Studies
